Pound cake


°1 cup all-purpose flour

°1 cup cake flour

°1 teaspoon baking powder

°Half a teaspoon of salt

°7 ounces (1¾ stick) softened butter, plus 1 tablespoon for greasing a baking sheet

°3 ounces soft cream cheese

°1½ cups of sugar

°5 eggs

°1 t of pure vanilla extract


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 9″ x 5″ loaf pan butter.

In a large bowl, sift the all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking powder, and salt. sit aside.

In a hand mixer or using a hand mixer, beat the butter and cheese on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add sugar and mix for 1 minute. Add eggs, one at a time, then vanilla; Mix for 1 minute until well mixed. With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 50 minutes. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes before removing the cake to a wire rack to cool completely
